A day of fitness activities for children and their parents.

April 4, 2020, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Start the event with a group warm-up and then a fun run around the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.

After the run, complete up to five different fitness-focused activities to earn participation points on your scorecard.

Fitness activities include yoga, basketball, zumba, nutrition, and strength challenges. 

Participants recognized for completion of all activities.

Event open to children ages 6 and up and their parents from across the Richmond area


  • 7:30-8:00 am: Check in
  • 8:00-8:25 am: Group warm Up
  • 8:30 am: Fun run begins
  • 8:45-9:00 am: Snacks and water available at finish
  • 9:10 am: Explanation of fitness stations
  • 9:30 am: Station 1
  • 10:00 am: Station 2
  • 10:30 am: Station 3
  • 11:00 am: Station 4
  • 11:30 am: Station 5
  • 12:00 pm: Closing


This is a fundraiser for the Live Red Foundation, and we want to make sure money is not a barrier for any participation.  Therefore, there is no registration fee but a suggested donation of $20 or more.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club Fitness Day promotes fitness, family fun, and community involvement.

Our sponsors help make the event a special event for the participants and also affordable to ALL families. By sponsoring the event, you will be exposing some children to fitness for the first time.  100% of proceeds benefit local kids through the Live Red Foundation’s free community fitness programs and donations back to local schools’ physical education departments.
