Hilbert Off Road Triathlon – The Live Red Foundation

The Hilbert Off-Road Triathlon is an off-road triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike for all ages. New in 2023, we will be offering an adult race in addition to our 3rd annual youth race AND offering duathlon (run-bike-run) and aquabike (swim-bike) options. This event is held at Camp Hilbert, a beautiful venue with a pool and trails located in Goochland, VA. The race consist of a pool swim, mountain bike on trails, and trail run. All LRF events fund our free fitness programs which teach life skills to children in low-opportunity communities.

The Venue

Camp Hilbert is a beautiful 110-acre property in Maidens, VA. The address is 2240 Maidens Rd, Maidens, VA 23102.

The Course

The Hilbert Off Road Triathlon course consists of both a youth race for ages 12 & under as well as a junior/adult race for age 13+. Athletes under the age of 12 can get special permission to race the adult race by emailing [email protected]. Participants 12 years and younger will complete a 100m swim, .9 mile bike, and 1 mile run. Adult and junior (13+) participants will complete a 300m swim, 5.2 mile bike, and 2 mile run. If electing to do the duathlon, the swim will be replaced with a short .25 min run.

Race Day Schedule

6:30 am- Transition Opens
7:15 am – Pre-Race Instructions
7:30 am – Adult/Junior Race Start
9:30 am (approximate) – 12 & Under Youth Race Start
10:30 am (approximate) – Awards

Youth race will start as soon as the large majority of adults/juniors finish and awards will begin after the last youth finisher .

Register by July 9 to be guaranteed a shirt.
