  • No qualification necessary & there is a race for all levels
  • Safe, loop course closed to vehicular traffic with hay-bales on every corner
  • Previous years included athletes from 45 US states including many local athletes

RACES

NON-DRAFT AGE GROUP RACES

This race is a great introduction to open water triathlon with a fun, safe venue for all ages 5-adult including a shallow man-made lake and bike and run on closed office park roadways.  There is also a duathlon [run-bike-run] option for those not wishing to swim.  Open to all levels!

  • Ages 5-10 Triathlon: 100m swim, 5k bike, 1/2 mi run
  • Age 5-10 Duathlon: 1/2m run, 5k bike, 1/2 mi run
  • Ages 11-17 Triathlon: 200m swim; 10k (2 lap) bike; 2.5k run
  • Age 11-17 Duathlon: 1/2m run, 10k (2 lap) bike; 2.5k run
  • Adult Triathlon: 375m swim; 10k (2 lap) bike; 2.5k run
  • Adult Duathlon: 1/2m run, 10k (2 lap) bike; 2.5k run

U23 ELITE & NATIONAL TRIATHLON DEVELOPMENT RACES (NTDR)

This event is a draft-level event for ages 16-25 (age on 12/31/23) though athletes older than 25 years old are encouraged to apply for entry. Draft-legal rules/equipment are required (learn about rules here and here).  The rules governing all Draft Legal Events that are Sanctioned by USAT are the World Triathlon Rules of Competition with several dispensations outlined in the 2022 USAT Draft Legal Equipment and Rules Checklist which can also be found at www.usatriathlon.org. The first three (3) amateur finishers in the NTDR races will become eligible for a USAT Elite Triathlete License (must finish within five percent (5%) of the first amateur’s overall time).

  • Age 16-25 (older with permission): 750m swim; 20k (2 lap) bike; 5k run

DRAFT-LEGAL YOUTH/JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT RACES

A draft-legal race for youth/junior elites ages 13-19. This serves as 1 of 4 qualifiers for the Youth/Junior National Championships.  To learn more about this series, visit USAT Junior Elite Page, the Junior Elite Series Guide, & USAT’s Draft-Legal Page.

  • Youth (13-15): 375m swim; 10k (2 lap) bike, 2.5k run
  • Junior (16-19): 750m swim; 20k (4 lap) bike; 5k (2 lap) run

ADULT & YOUTH INNSBROOK MILE RUN

New this year, we will host a mile race for all ages (youth to adult) on Saturday evening at 4pm.  This slightly rolling, flowy course will kick off the weekend festivities with a bang!  Athletes will be sent off in several heats to blaze through the course and finish under the infamous ECTF finish line.

  • All Ages: 1 Mile

Transition opens 75 min before Junior Devo Races and 60 min before all other races. Awards will be held shortly after each event.

The Course

All races are completed on a course completely closed to traffic with multiple loops encircling the viewing area making it very spectator friendly.  The course is perfect for all ages and levels.

Awards will be held shortly after each race near the finish line.

Awards will be given out as follows:

  • Youth / Junior Development Races – Top 3 / Category
  • National Development Race – Top 3 / Category
  • Youth AG Tri – Top 3 / Age Group
  • Adult AG Tri – Top Finisher / Age Group
  • Adult & Youth Du – Top 3 Overall 5-10, 11-17, & Adult
  • Innsbrook Mile: Top 3 / Age Group

School Competition

We will give cash awards to area schools to help with their physical education programs!  The top 5 schools with largest number of participants (must have at least 10) will win the following awards and any school with 25+ participants not in the top 5 will win $50:

  • 1st – $300
  • 2nd – $250
  • 3rd – $200
  • 4th – $150
  • 5th – $100
